RPS Gold medal win

One of the most prestigious awards in photography, Richard's win is an amazing achievement considering it was his first submission to the Society. Out of 3,000 international entries, the judges whittled the high quality images down to just 120 for the exhibition and catalogue. No mean feat!

The sponsor of the event was Allen and Overy, who were able to host the event launch and award ceremony at there brand new office complex in Bishops Square, London.

After speeches from the Chairman of the RPS and the sponsor, the awards were handed out. Exciting and nerve wracking. As usual, in reverse order. The three Bronze awards first, then the two Silver medals were awarded. Finally the top award. Gold, and a cheque for £10,000. What a magnificent prize.
